FOOD FOR THOUGHT

There are signs which can indicate that our religious worships to Allah are meaningless or superficial. With these signs, we can do our own self check, look within ourselves, make corrections so that our religious duties and good deeds are accepted by Allah.

THE SIGNS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

1. We are not pleased with the fate and destiny that God has set for us.
2. We hate to accept the tests and tribulations that God put upon us.
3. We are unduly worried about our future.
4. We are not charitable with wealth and luxuries that we are blessed with.
5. We tend to be less charitable even though we are blessed with more wealth and  luxuries.
6. We do not readily accept any good advice, in fact we feel angry towards them.
7. We declare ourselves to be sincere when we give charity

WORDS OF THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD SAW

According to Sayidina Abu Bakar As Siddiq, when he asked the Prophet to tell him of some invocations which he could recite in his prayers, the Prophet said,

" Say, God, I have been an opressor to myself. And there is no one but You who can forgive my sins.
Therefore forgive me in Your Generosity. An show me compassion. Verily, You are Forgiving and Compassionate."

HAPPINESS

HAPPINESS canot be derived from WEALTH, because there are so many who are wealthy but they are unhappy!

HAPPINESS cannot be achieved by the HEALTH, because there are so many healthy people who are physically strong and yet they are unhappy!

HAPPINESS cannot be acquired by EDUCATION, because there are so many great Educationists who are unhappy!

We see and read in the news, every now and then, that many eminent doctors, scientists, great politicians, popular advocates and famous cinestars are commiting suicide for want of mental peace.

Therefor, it is obvious that HAPPINESS cannot be purchased either by means of wealth, health or education.

HAPPINESS is nothing but A MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL ACHIEVEMENT. HAPPINESS, as such is NOT "MAN-MADE" but "GOD-MADE".

HAPPINESS cannot be perceived by eyes but only be felt spiritually

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO HAVE YOU, O ALLAH

It is alright for me to be despised by every human beings in the entire world
for as long as You do not despise me, O Allah
It is alright for me to lose all the love and care from all human beings
for as long as I do not lose any love from You
It is alright for me not to have anything
Having You, O Allah, means that I have everything
Without You, O Allah, I lose everything that I have
It is meaningless to have love from everyone in this world
and yet, I’m being despised by You, the Creator of all beings
Without You, O Allah, my entire life in this world and Hereafter will collapse
Whatever I have will not mean anything at all
It is liken to a speck of dust floating in the air
It is simply useless
This is the reason that it is very important for me to have You
It is for my world and my Hereafter
O Allah, please grant me a little of Your love and care
So that it will be useful for my life in this world
and my life in the Hereafter.

DU'A

‘O Allah, guide me along with those whom You have guided, pardon me along with those whom You have pardoned, be an ally to me along with those whom You are an ally to and bless for me that which You have bestowed. Protect me from the evil You have decreed for verily You decree and none can decree over You. For surety, he whom You show allegiance to is never abased and he whom You take as an enemy is never honored and mighty. O our Lord, Blessed and Exalted are You.’

‘O Allah, I take refuge within Your pleasure from Your displeasure and within Your pardon from Your punishment, and I take refuge in You from You. I cannot enumerate You praise. You are as You have praised Yourself.’

‘O Allah, it is You we worship, and unto You we hasten and You we serve. We hope for Your mercy and fear Your punishment, verily Your punishment will fall upon the disbelievers. O Allah, we seek Your aid and ask Your pardon, we praise You with all good and do not disbelieve in You. We believe in You and submit unto You, and we disown and reject those who disbelieve in You.

O Allah! Bestow blessings on Sayyidina Muhammad, who is the light of all lights,  the secret of all secrets, the remedy of all illness, the key to all success
He is the Head of all leaders, Sayyidina Muhammad the chosen Messenger and upon his family the pure ones and upon his Companions the good people for as many as Your blessings and goodness.

Aameen Ya Allah.

POEM: WE SHOULD NOT RIDICULE OTHER PEOPLE EASILY

Do not ridicule other people easily
Do not bring down people easily
Do not embarrass people easily
Especially do not easily judge and be cruel to them
Do avoid being cruel towards other people
If possible do help other people who have been victimized
Do remember that we are all God's creations
All His creations are within His Power
We live in this world like a wheel
One day we are up, the next day we are down
We are not privileged all the time
Once a while we will get to smell the stench of the cow dung
Accidentally stepped on filthy, smelly rubbish and waste
We must fear Allah every moment
So that we realize and be aware always
That we are lowly servants
Created from the lowly and filthy fluid
Hopefully, we will not be some people who are cruel and look down on others.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

We receive countless blessings from Allah at every single moment of our lives. The oxygen we breathe in freely is a blessing from God that should make us feel truly grateful with Him.
A human being who realizes that he is a mere servant of Allah, he feels he owns nothing in this world except the things Allah graced upon him. It is Allah who created him, the oxygen he breathe in is free from Allah, without oxygen he can no longer live.

GUARDIAN MALAYSIA CHARITABLE DEEDS

Guardian Malaysia Educates 100 Orphanage Children On Health And Nutrition, A Shopping Spree And Buka Puasa Treat

source: http://jacyntacsy.blogspot.com/2015/07/guardian-malaysia-educates-100.html
It has been years already since the day I used to shop here at Giant Hypermarket Bandar Kinrara, Puchong but I was glad to come again last Thursday having to spend time with Guardian Malaysia and 3 selected charity homes' kids. Continuing to spread love and joy in the spirit of Ramadhan, leading pharmacy, health and beauty retailer Guardian Malaysia treated 100 children from three charity homes within the Klang Valley to a delightful afternoon out in preparation of the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

100 children aged 7 to 19 from Yayasan Chow Kit Kuala Lumpur, Rumah Amal Limpahan Kasih Puchong and Rumah Safiyyah Shah Alam were treated to an afternoon out, which included a shopping spree and buka puasa dining. Guardian Malaysia really did a good job in charity like this, that's why I made a great effort to be present for this meaningful event as well.

The children’s excitement was infectious, with lively chattering and laughter heard throughout the shopping aisles as 12 Guardian Malaysia team members assisted them with the daunting task of choosing from the myriads of Hari Raya goodies. There was a moment I got 'sebak dada' feeling deep within me because it reminded me the reason why I wanted to contribute my share of doing charity providing food, clothes etc. for those unfortunates one 'tidak mengira bangsa dan agama, from time to time with my close family and friends. I felt good about it too!

PR & Government Relations Assistant Manager of Guardian Health and Beauty Sdn Bhd, Farahani Failul Rahman said, “In addition to providing the children fun and joy with a shopping spree and buka puasa session, we aimed to educate the children and teenagers and get them to think about staying healthy from a young age. Teaching them the facts about nutrition and its importance to good health would equip them well into adulthood.”

Guardian Health Advisor Aishah Yunos shared with the children the importance of staying healthy via an interactive health and nutrition talk. Topics of discussion included the benefits of drinking water, nutritional facts about food and how food choices affect health.

“Children naturally love junk food as they are flavour-filled and delightful to the taste buds. Teaching them the facts about high nutrition food vs. those poor in nutritional value will help them make informed choices. They can put what they learn to test in this holy fasting month as it will contribute hugely to the difference between feeling energetic or lethargic throughout the days,” added Farahani.

Armed with renewed knowledge about food and nutrition, the day ended on a high note as each child went home with RM100 worth of goodies, which included festive clothing, snacks, toys, stationery, daily essentials and personal care products. Mentioned about shopping only, they all shouted out with glee. Haha...It's great to see the kids got so ecstatically excited about it.

This is the part of Guardian Malaysia’s long-standing Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, the event was held under this year’s theme 'Beramal Bersama Guardian'. For more information, you can visit www.guardian.com.my.

ISTIGHFAR

A man once came to al-Hasan al-Basri and complained to him: “The sky does not shower us with rain.” He replied: “Seek Allah’s forgiveness (i.e. say أستغفر ألله).”

Then another person came to him and said, “I complain of poverty.” He replied: “Seek Allah’s forgiveness.”

Then another person came to him and complained, “My wife is barren; she cannot bear children.” He replied: “Seek Allah’s forgiveness.”

The people who were present, said to al-Hasan: “Everytime a person came to you complaining, you instructed them to seek Allah’s forgiveness?”

Al-Hasan al-Basri said, “Have you not read the statement of Allah? ‘I said “Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Truly He is Oft-Forgiving. He will send rain to you in abundance; increase you in wealth and children; grant you gardens and bestow on you rivers.”‘” [Nuh (71):10-12]

There are two things in the earth that give a person safety and security from the punishment of Allah. The first has been removed, whilst the second still remains. As for the first, it was the Messenger of Allah (صلي ألله عليه و سلم).“Allah would not punish them while you were among them.” [al-Anfal (8):33] As for the second, it is istighfar. “Allah would not punish them as long as they sought forgiveness.” [al-Anfal (8):33]أستغفر ألله… أستغفر ألله… أستغفر ألله…

Do not ever leave istighfar!

Please share and remember that you will receive the reward for all those who make istighfar, due to your reminder.

Astaghfirullaaha wa 'atoobu 'ilayhi.
I seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent to Him. (Recite one hundred times in Arabic during the day)
It is reported in Saheeh Muslim that Prophet Muhammad SAW said: “I seek forgiveness one hundred times in a day.” [Muslim]

Rasulullah SAW  said, “If anyone continually asks forgiveness, Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress, relief from anxiety, and will provide for him from where he never realized.”
